About Us
Learn more about The Therapist Connection and what we do.

Our History
The Therapist Connection, previously known as The Net Connection, was established in 2005 with the goal of developing a group of dedicated mental health professionals invested in each others’ professional growth and increasing the quality of services that offered in our growing central Texas communities.

Our Mission
The Therapist Connection is committed to providing its members with opportunities for clinical growth, connection and support. To that end, we offer monthly CEU's, networking and clinical consultation meetings. We are dedicated to utilizing evidenced-based theoretical approaches. We support the Central Texas community by referring clients to competent care within the local network of mental health providers. We currently meet on the third Friday of each month at the Georgetown Public Library, Room 211.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I come to try it out before I join?
Yes, absolutely we invite you to attend a CEU meeting on us. You will receive your 1.5 CEU rather you join or not.
Can I bring my lunch or coffee?
Yes you are always welcome to bring something to eat or drink to our meetings. We are all busy and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to attend. The Little Lemon is on the first floor of the Georgetown Public Library and they serve coffee and food.
I’m an LPC Intern or LMFT Associate. Can I be a member?
Yes, you can! We have a membership option for Students, Interns and Associates, fully licensed clinicians and Business Associates.
I would like to present to your group. Who do I contact?
That would be great we are always looking for great content for our members. Please contact us at thetherapistconnection@gmail.com
Do you meet every month?
No, we take off July for a summer break, and In December we have a Holiday Party in lieu of a CEU. So many of us don’t have the traditional office Holiday Party.
I may only be able to come to CEU’s once or once or twice a year. Is that okay?
Sure, we encourage self-care for all of our clinicians. We are happy to have you join us whenever you can for CEU’s socials, or peer group.
I have a complaint on file with my Board. It’s from a high conflict case. Can I be a member?
Yes, we understand that the nature of our work puts us at risk for complaints from high conflict custody, divorce and litigious clients with multiple issues or high needs. We are here to support and encourage all clinicians.
I was audited for Continuing Ed hours. Can you send my info to my Board?
No, we provide CEU certificates for each meeting. We do retain our sign in sheets, and evaluations. If you need us to reissue a certificate and know the date of the CEU you attended, we can provide that. We recommend you regularly scan and store your CEU certificate. Our Boards are moving towards a paperless model and this will help you upload your CEU’s when you renew your license or in an audit.
